Oppo announced its future plans today with artificial intelligence and the new Air Glass 3 XR (extended reality) glasses prototype. The glasses can be accessed via Oppo’s AndesGPT model through a smartphone, providing a “hands-free” artificial intelligence experience. The company believes that pressing a button on your phone requires too much effort and is striving to do something about it.
Oppo Air Glass 3 – What Does It Offer Users?
The Air Glass 3 weighs 50 grams and has a refractive index of 1.70. Additionally, it features Oppo’s proprietary resin waveguide. Moreover, it boasts a brightness level of over 1000 nits, providing a significantly high level of brightness.
Oppo claims that these features provide an experience close to that of ordinary glasses and also offers the best full-color display in its category. You may have thought of it, but the Oppo Air Glass 3 is not in the same category as the Apple Vision Pro. Therefore, it would not be appropriate to make a comparison. While the Vision Pro is a mixed reality headset, the Air Glass 3 is an extended reality headset.
The glasses come with an artificial intelligence voice assistant supported by AndesGPT and also support touch interaction to control music, voice calls, information display, and image scanning. It has four microphones designed to improve noise isolation, and Oppo promises high-quality audio output.
Along with its smart glasses, Oppo also announced plans to introduce various productive artificial intelligence features to its Reno11 and Find N3 phones, including an AI Eraser for photos. What do you think about this news? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
